Submissions for our next Short Stack screening - taking place on Sunday 17 September 2023 - are now open. We are currently accepting short film submissions from filmmakers from or based here in the Midlands, who have made or been part of a short film that’s 10 mins duration or less. We've previously screened BAFTA-longlisted and short films featuring such illustrious names as Mackenzie Crook, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Zach Braff. We often invite award-winning films to be featured at each screening and event as we are keen to show some of the best short films out there. The maximum duration of the short films we show is 10 minutes to ensure we can show as many films as possible in the time allowed and give the audience maximum bang for their buck. We show an array of genres and styles, with both big budget and bargain basement films – we love to see the diversity of skill and talent. We welcome short films from emerging or established filmmakers, of any age and from all backgrounds. The Short Stack team are always looking for short films that will entertain and surprise us.
